C-DAC Bangalore (Knowledge park) conducted the "Third GARUDA partners meet" on 3rd and 4th March 2008 at Eagleton Golf Village, Bangalore. More than 60 members from GARUDA partner institutions & C-DAC centres participated in the meet.
The agenda for the meet included a series of presentations focusing on partner’s experiences with GARUDA, Virtual Community meetings and discussions on the road map for the next phase of the project.
The workshop started with an Inaugural Session, Dr.C.Muralikrishna Advisor (C&I) of the Planning Commission GOI was the chief Guest of the event, Shri.S.Ramakrishnan Director General of C-DAC gave the welcome address and Shri Mohanram presented the progress report on POC phase of GARUDA.
The 2nd part of the meet focused on understanding requirements of various GARUDA Virtual Communities. Parallel "Virtual Community Discussion" sessions were conducted, moderated by both GARUDA partner representative, and a C-DAC representative. 3rd Part of the workshop covered panel discussion and QA session with the partner representatives. Feed back forms were distributed on the last day of the session and the summary was collated.
The meet was successful with active and enthusiastic participation of GARUDA Partners.
