Paryavekshanam

Grid Monitoring tool for Garuda:

Paryavekshanam is a grid-monitoring  tool used for monitoring the Garuda Grid round the clock(24X7). Garuda Grid resources are heterogeneous (Linux, Solaris, AIX) in nature,  and are distributed geographically across 17 different cities in India. Monitoring these grid resources is challenging in terms of its  dynamic and criticality nature. Paryavekshanam provides hierarchical view to the health of the grid. Paryavekshanam is used to monitor various Grid resources of the Garuda such as:

  • Computing nodes
  • Submitted jobs
  • Network
  • Grid middleware and
  • Softwares installed.
Monitoring of Garuda grid infrastructure is co-coordinated by Grid Operations Center (GOC). GOC will act as central point of contact for operational information.

Paryavekshanam currently monitoring the resources of CDAC Bangalore, CDAC Pune and CDAC Chennai. Before monitoring resources of new Grid Partners, configuration settings need to be done by  grid-mon team. Paryavekshanam monitors the resources after certification and configuration settings are done.  Garuda partners whose resources need to be monitored through Paryavekshanam need to contact  through
